Our Cattery

Rooted in Authentic Russian Heritage

Iceforest Siberians is a registered Siberian cat breeder located in Barrie, Ontario. We provide traditional Siberian kittens to families throughout Toronto, the GTA, Ontario, and across Canada. If you are looking for a purebred Siberian kitten, an allergy-friendly cat, or authentic traditional Russian bloodlines, we welcome your inquiry. We breed exclusively authentic Traditional Siberian lines — our cats contain no Neva Masquerade, color point, or Persian genetics.

Iceforest Siberians is proudly registered with TICA (The International Cat Association), FIFe, and CCA (Canadian Cat Association). Our Siberian journey began with three remarkable cats imported directly from Rossity Siberian Cattery in Moscow, Russia. CH Rossity Zosia of Iceforest and GCH Rossity Jessica of Iceforest arrived in Canada in 2012, with Jessica achieving Grand Champion status and ranking as the 2nd best Siberian in Canada for 2012–2013.

Our cats are raised with our family, socialized around dogs, children, and everyday household activity — ensuring kittens arrive at their new homes with well-rounded, confident personalities. Iceforest Siberians is owned and operated by a dedicated breeder with over a decade of experience specializing exclusively in pure Traditional Siberian Forest Cats with authentic Russian bloodlines — no Neva Masquerade, no colorpoint genetics, no compromises.

About the Breed

The Siberian Forest Cat

A natural breed born of Russia's ancient forests — powerful, intelligent, and remarkably people-oriented. Recognized by seven North American cat associations.

Temperament

Dog-like loyalty and affection. They greet you at the door, follow you room to room, come when called, and love to play fetch. Extremely lovable and interactive — you will never be alone.

Coat & Build

Medium-to-long, silky yet dense triple coat with a tight undercoat — built for Siberian winters. Males reach up to 20 lbs. The regal ruff and bushy tail add unmistakable elegance.

Show Champions

Our cats and kittens are shown regularly in Canada and the USA. Our lines have produced Grand Champions in TICA, FIFe, and CCA — a testament to breed quality and standard.

🧬

Health & Longevity

All adult breeding cats are tested for FIV, FeLV, and clear of PKD and HCM. Siberians are a robust natural breed with a slow maturation of approximately 5 years to full size.

Pure Traditional Lines

Pure Traditional Siberian lines — not the hybrid versions that most breeders offer containing genetics of another breed such as Neva Masquerade or colorpoint variations. Our cats are sourced directly from Russia, the true Siberian as nature intended. Understanding the difference between a Traditional Siberian and a Neva Masquerade is key to finding an authentic breeder.

Hypoallergenic Cats in Ontario: What to Know

Siberians produce significantly lower levels of the Fel d1 protein — the primary cause of cat allergies. It is important to understand that hypoallergenic means less allergenic, not allergy-free. That said, we are very compatible with most allergy sufferers and many people who cannot tolerate other breeds live comfortably with a Siberian.

We currently offer fur samples to allergy sufferers — open house visits are suspended at this time. We also encourage you to research the different types of cat allergies, as they are triggered by different proteins. An allergy return policy applies.
